The Cleburne County Library prides itself on providing services for the children in our community. Our children’s library was designed with kids in mind and is staffed by librarians who are willing to help both kids and parents in any way possible.
The children’s library features computers especially designed for young children, a puppet theater, smart board and table, and a program room that can accommodate just under 100 people. We offer activities daily for children throughout the week with special programs held on Saturdays. Through the generous donation of many groups and individuals, especially the Cleburne County Friends of the Library, we are able to offer all programs at no cost. Special programs, field trips, and off-site visits are available upon request. In addition to our programs, we offer fiction and non-fiction books, children’s DVDs, magazines, Playaways, and other items. Another popular feature of our children’s library is our outdoor giant chess set featuring pierces that stand almost 3-feet tall. Check our calendar of events for upcoming programs and special events.
